Little India
is a town filled with lively colours. We’ve picked the month of Deepavali to visit
this part of the city to witness the livelihood in the highlight of its
vibrance. Allow me to share some of the pictures from the stroll we had in the midday
sun.
It was quite refreshing to be walking in the middle of this pathway with fresh flowers to the left and right of us.
If you're used to watching and enjoying Bollywood movies, particularly when it gets to the musical parts, then you can imagine all that available in the shopping street of Little India, dresses, silks, and sarees..from the affordable ones to the premium lines.
The signature archway of Little India:
At the
end of the shopping street is a stretch of flower shops.
The
shopkeepers are usually the flower arrangers themselves.
The salesperson, Bishu, asked to have her picture taken with my travelling partner. She’s probably infected with our excitement.
Salesperson
wearing the dress type she’s selling.

The Little
India shopping street is not short of accessory items as well; bangles, earrings,
basically jewelleries of all types are sold along this street.
Another type of variety that is sold here are the street
foods and tid-bits, some are sweet and some are cooked with spices.
We get
ourselves the ones with the spices, my TP claimed that these are the best she
has ever had.
After
more than a couple of hours in Little India, we decided that it was time to
make the move to our next destination of choice...
..Central
Market.
To be continued in the final part at Central Market.
